Non-Executive Directorships

Since 2004 Geoff has developed a Non-Executive Directorship portfolio in various well known listed Plc’s and private companies. In this time he has served as a Chairman, a Senior Independent Director and Chair of both a Remuneration & Audit Committee.

Harvey Jones Kitchens

Geoff joined Harvey Jones Kitchens as Non-Executive Chairman on 1st October 2008. Harvey Jones is an MBO owned by Management and Yorkshire Fund Managers. They manufacture hand-made fitted kitchens targeted at the upper middle market and retail from their  own branch showroom network of over 30 outlets.

 

Albemarle & Bond Plc

Geoff joined Albemarle & Bond in July 2011 as a NED and left the company in December 2013. A&B operated over 180 stores trading under the names of Albemarle & Bond and Herbert Brown providing pawnbroking and financial services.

S D Harrison & Sons Plc

Geoff joined SD Harrison Plc as a NED in January 2007 following previous consultancy support in the business for 18 months. SDH Plc are a family owned B2B company manufacturing non-woven wiping cloths.

Robert Dyas

In September 2009 Geoff became Non-Executive Chairman of Robert Dyas who have 100 retail stores and a turnover of 120m. In July 2012 Geoff left the company following a sucessful sale of the business to Theo Paphitis (Chairman/Owner of Ryman's stationary stores).

 

Harvard International Plc

Geoff joined Harvard International Plc in October 2010 as a NED and Chair of the Remuneration Committee. Geoff left the company in May 2012 following a sale to Geeya Technology who paid a 100% premium to the pre-bid share price.

Carpetright Plc

Geoff was on the Carpetright Plc Board from March 2007 to August 2010 as a NED and Audit Committee member. Carpetright is a FTSE 250 company with over 650 stores in the UK, Holland, Belgium & Poland.

Matalan Plc

Geoff joined Matalan Plc in March 2005 as a NED and became Deputy Chairman, Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee. He also chaired the Independent Committee during the Public to Private transaction in late 2006 and stepped down from this role when the deal completed in January 2007.

Floors2Go Plc

Geoff joined Floors2Go Plc in March 2006 as a NED. F2G was an AIM listed flooring retailer with over 140 UK stores. He left the company in January 2007 following a Public to Private transaction by Alchemy who paid a 54% premium to the pre- approach share price.

Fairline Boats

Geoff worked with Fairline Boats from February 2006 as a consultant advising them on a CRM enhancement programme and associated business process improvements. However, from 1st March 2008 to June 2009 he was also a Non-Executive Director of the company. Fairline manufacture prestige motor yachts to distribute internationally, have a turnover of over 100m, and are owned by 3i Plc and the management.
